Robert Giesen - Co-founder and Partner

Robert specializes in golf, resort and leisure services with a special emphasis on club membership programs. The core of his practice is representing developers of master-planned communities and resorts who are looking for counsel and insights about recreational amenities and how to maximize their economic potential.

Mr. Giesen was a partner with Saxon, Gilmore, Carraway, Gibbons, Lash & Wilcox. He also practiced with Hillier & Associates, P.A., the leading law firm at the time serving the hospitality industry, concentrating in areas including leisure and recreation, real estate, corporate, tax and securities. While with Hillier, he crafted club membership programs for many renowned golf properties including The Club at PGA West, La Quinta Resort & Club, The Boulders Club, Desert Mountain Club, Yellowstone Mountain Club, East Hampton Golf Club, Tehama Golf Club, and The Preserve Golf Club.

Prior to joining Hillier & Associates, Mr. Giesen practiced law at the New York law firm of Dewey Ballantine. He graduated from Georgetown University, cum laude, in 1974 and from Fordham University School of Law, with honors, and as a member of the law review in 1977. Mr. Giesen is a member of the Urban Land Institute.

Kevin Kenny Co-founder and Partner
Kevin’s primary focus is in real estate and hospitality law with special emphasis on club and resort membership programs. Mr. Kenny has advised developers of master-planned communities and resorts and provided counsel related to their recreational amenities. Mr. Kenny has designed and structured many golf, resort and club membership programs for clients across the United States, the Caribbean, Mexico, Latin America and around the world. Mr. Kenny is a member of the Urban Land Institute Recreational Development Council.

Mr. Kenny also has broad experience in both federal and state litigation. He is a member of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, The Florida Bar, and the Hillsborough County Bar Association.

Mr. Kenny received his B.S. degree from Florida State University in 1994 and his J.D. degree from Stetson University College of Law in 1998. At Stetson he was nominated for the National Dean’s List and honored with the Victor O’Wehle Award for Excellency in Trial Advocacy.
