Mr. Giesen, partner at GIESEN | KENNY, formerly partner with Saxon, Gilmore, Carraway, Gibbons, Lash & Wilcox, specializes in golf, resort and leisure services with a special emphasis on club membership programs. He primarily represents developers of master planned communities and resorts that are seeking counsel with respect to their recreational amenities and how to maximize the economic potential of them.
Mr. Giesen also practiced with the law firm of Hillier & Associates, P.A., a leading firm in the hospitality practice arena, where his practice areas included leisure and recreation, real estate, corporate, tax and securities. While at the Hillier firm, he worked on club membership programs for many renowned golf properties including; The Club at PGA West, La Quinta Resort & Club, The Boulders Club, Desert Mountain Club, Yellowstone Mountain Club, East Hampton Golf Club, Tehama Golf Club and The Preserve Golf Club.
Prior to Hillier & Associates, Mr. Giesen practiced law at the New York law firm of Dewey Ballantine. Mr. Giesen graduated from Georgetown University, cum laude, in 1974 and from Fordham University School of Law, with honors, in 1977. Mr. Giesen is a member of the Urban Land Institute's Community Development Council.
